Scope of Massage Therapy Services


Massage therapy at Your Healthy Karma is provided for stress reduction, relaxation, relief from muscular tension, and to promote improved circulation and energy flow. It is not a substitute for medical care.


Our massage therapists do not diagnose conditions, perform spinal or skeletal adjustments, prescribe treatments, or treat physical or mental illness. All services are strictly therapeutic and non-sexual in nature.


Due to the nature of therapeutic massage—prolonged close physical contact—there may be an increased risk of disease transmission, including COVID-19 and other communicable illnesses.


Services are only provided to clients who acknowledge and agree to these terms by signing a consent and liability waiver. This agreement must be renewed annually.


Financial Agreement

  • All payments are due at the time of service unless prior written arrangements have been made.
     
  • Clients are responsible for understanding their insurance coverage and eligibility for massage therapy.
     
  • Any applicable copayments are due at the time of service. Invoices for deductibles or coinsurance balances must be paid upon receipt.
     
  • Your Healthy Karma may bill clients directly for services not covered by insurance, but will never charge more than the contracted rate for in-network services.
     
  • We do not bill out-of-network insurance plans.
     
  • Accepted payment methods include credit/debit cards and cash. Payments can be made online, in person, or by phone.
     
  • If you choose to pay using a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA), it is your responsibility to confirm eligibility and retain receipts for your records.
     

Cancellation & Timeliness Policy


We value your time and aim to provide fair access to care for all clients.


  • Please provide at least 24 hours' notice to cancel, reschedule, or change an appointment.
     
  • Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged a $50 late cancellation fee.
     
  • Missed appointments (no-shows) will also incur a $50 fee.
     
  • Late arrivals may result in reduced session time; the full scheduled service fee will still apply.
     
  • Fees for missed or late-cancelled appointments must be paid in full at least 24 hours before your next appointment.
     

After two (2) or more late cancellations or no-shows within a 12-month period, prepayment for future services will be required.
