At Your Healthy Karma, we’re committed to making massage therapy more accessible to our community. We’re thrilled to announce that we now accept select health plan insurance to help you get the care you need with greater ease and affordability.
✔ Aetna WA CAM
✔ Kaiser Family Health Plan of Washington - HMO & PPO
✔ TriWest CCN
✔ WA State Labor & Industries (L&I)/Workers' Compensation
This means that more of our valued clients can enjoy the benefits of massage with coverage from their insurance plans.
If you're a member of one of these plans and you have massage therapy benefits, complete the insurance information on your intake form and email or text a photo of the front and back of your card to us at least 2 days before your appointment. We can verify that you have effective coverage, but we can not guarantee your coverage for massage therapy. Please contact your health plan before your appointment to check your coverage and whether you need a referral or authorization from your doctor.*
* Most health plans require a referral or authorization from your primary or treating physician, and will only cover massage therapy for medically necessary treatment, as determined by the plan.
** You will be responsible for copayments at time of service.
If you’re unsure whether your plan covers our services or need assistance with the process, feel free to contact us. Your health and well-being are our top priority. We’re excited to take this step in making our services even more accessible to you!
Finding the perfect massage therapist can mean venturing outside your insurance network. At Your Healthy Karma, we understand that the cost can be a concern. But did you know that many Washington state health insurance plans offer out-of-network coverage for massage therapy? In fact, getting reimbursed for your massage might be easier than you think!
1. Know Your Plan: Check your policy documents or online portal for details. Look for "Outpatient Rehabilitation Services" and massage therapy coverage details.
2. Check Eligibility: Massage must be medically necessary. Get a prescription or referral from your doctor for coverage. Some plans require pre-authorization.
3. Prepare for Reimbursement: Ask me for a "superbill" receipt containing all necessary claim information. Keep all paperwork organized.
4. Submit Your Claim: Most insurers allow online submission. Upload documents through your provider's website or mail claim forms, following instructions carefully.
5. Appeal if Needed: Don't give up on a denied claim. Review the denial notice and contact your provider for clarification. Submit a written appeal with additional documentation if needed.
Use your HSA, FSA, or HRA funds for qualified massage services. We also offer prepaid packages and discounts for various groups.

We accept WA L&I for approved workers' compensation claims and auto insurance for first-party personal injury protection (PIP) claims.
